Come and say Hi, we are at Booth #433!  Limited Free Tickets – Join our mailing list www.makerparty.com/mailinglist

Fun Fair! All throughout the event are things to do like a 200’ long Zip Line and a Euro Bungee where 4 kids can jump on trampolines and do flips safely. Little ones can “hang around” in the Tumble Gym Bus, which is a rolling indoor gym or jump in the inflatable jumpies. Or get their face painted. Want to try the new low impact paintball by JT Splatmaster? They have a 100’ long inflatable room the size of a gymnasium where kids can run an obstacle course. Climb a rock wall courtesy of Mesa Rim Climbing & Fitness Center. And Human Hamster Balls where you get inside a 6’ clear ball and they blow up the ball and you walk on water! And Laser Tag by Equinox with real military issue laser weapons! Ride the Safari Cycles from Jungle Gym & Café, which are 3 three sizes of mechanical stuffed animals that you can race around a track. And much more!

4 Stages of Entertainment! Meet the real Moshi Monsters from Mind Candy and other characters like The Incredibear by John’s Pizza. Also watch karate demos, dance exhibitions and lots of music by kids and students. How about a fashion show by John Robert Powers? The Cooking 4 Life Stage will have chefs teaching tricks and tips for cooking healthy and fast. And when mom and dad need a break, stop in the “Mommy’s lounge” and “Daddy’s lounge” where Jerome’s has massage chairs for mom and a “man cave” for dads.

One Family’s Adventures at Maker Faire Bay Area | MAKE

Article from makezine.com
Last year our family had the pleasure of attending Maker Faire Bay Area for the first time. We all had such a blast, and with Maker Faire coming up again very soon I’d love to share our experience with you. There were so many fun exhibits to keep us busy: robots, crazy bikes, 3D printers, a giant hydraulic hand, electronic musical instruments, light shows, an inflatable forest, innovative new toys, and loads of things that shot out flames. So many flames!Maker Faire 2013 15

MCADCafe.com: Maker Faire Bay Area 2014 Highlights Young Makers and Reaches Out to the K-12 Education Community With New Opportunities

SEBASTOPOL, CA — (Marketwired) — Mar 31, 2014 — Maker Faire, the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth, will take place at the San Mateo Event Center in San Mateo, CA, on Saturday, May 17, from 10am to 8pm and Sunday, May 18, from 10am to 6pm. This year’s event will continue a solid focus on Young Makers and providing learning opportunities for the K-12 community for both students and teachers alike in conjunction with the event. The way children are learning, in and out of the classroom, is shifting to include more hands-on, creative, problem-solving approaches that foster a life-long love of learning and provide the skills needed in the future. It’s resulting in young people becoming makers, solving real-world issues as they realize their potential and enjoy the learning process.

“When children and teens make things, they are having fun but they are also engaged in learning,” said Dale Dougherty, president of Maker Media and co-founder of Maker Faire. “We know that children need the opportunity the explore making and develop their capabilities through practice. And we know teachers desire the training and information to bring these opportunities to their classrooms! This collaboration with the education community to reach young people in these meaningful ways is resulting in a new generation of makers. It’s thrilling for Maker Faire to be at the crux of this transformation.”
